The 2nd Annual Hawaii Volleyball Combine sponsored by the Asics Rainbows Volleyball Club Hawaii Volleyball Combine - Saturday, January 22, 2011 Invitational Volleyball Tournament - Sunday, January 23, 2011 The 1st Annual Hawaii Volleyball Combine was a huge success. Hawaii's top high school volleyball recruits participated in the combine. A number of girls, from various clubs and schools, received full-ride scholarship offers from colleges that attended our combine. We are ecstatic that some seniors (2010) received full-ride offers! Many other girls received a great deal of interest and are now being tracked by the college coaches. This was the first time that Hawaii's top prep volleyball recruits were showcased in Hawaii in front of top college coaches from across the country. The 2nd Annual Volleyball Combine will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011. The next day, Sunday, January 23, 2011, the Asics Rainbows Volleyball Club will sponsor an Invitational Volleyball Tournament (Scouting Showcase) for the college scouts to attend and observe players. We started the Hawaii Volleyball Combine because there are many talented high school volleyball players across the State of Hawaii from many clubs and high schools but many of these players do not play for club teams that travel to the mainland to play at National Qualifiers and some do not play on teams that qualify for the Junior Olympics. As a result, they do not get seen by college scouts or if they do it may be on a limited basis. In addition, it is very expensive for Hawaii players to travel to the mainland to play at the National Qualifiers. Therefore, we created the Hawaii Volleyball Combine as a way to bring the coaches to Hawaii so that Hawaii high school volleyball players can be scouted right here in Honolulu.
